It makes delicious coffee as long as you use the correct grind of beans. I was looking for a coffee maker that we could take camping that would make delicious coffee but could also be used at home. The stainless steel pot keeps the coffee warm for quite a while. The Frieling Press was just what I was looking for. It is very solidly built but also elegant enough to have on the dinner table. The only misleading thing was that it only makes 3 standard size coffee cups, not the 5-7 cups stated in the description. I use my French press all the time now instead of my drip coffee maker.
grounds are getting passed the plunger mechanism and into my coffee. I've been grinding my beans as coarsely as possible in order to eliminate smaller pieces of grounds from getting through. Also, the coffee itself is coming out oily. So, I'm not too pleased with this product.
I have never written a review before, but I feel that with this product (Frieling Stainless-Steel 35-Ounce French Press) I have to.Not only is it heads and shoulders above any other french press in looks and durability, it makes the BEST coffee I have ever made.Also, there is no waste like making a full pot.East clean up too.I have given my old coffee maker away.I HIGHLY recommend this product.
Makes me happy juts to look at it. very sturdy. keep hot and cold like a dream. heavy, excellent quality press. and pours so precise and silent. I will buy it for my friends as a gift for sure.
The only thing that may be of concern is it is pretty heavy, especially when full but your buying a Stainless Steel pot so what do you expect. This is the best French Press I have owned. It filters the coffee very well. I only gave it four stars because of the weight. Good product, I would buy it again.
